Beavercreek, Ohio – Effective September 1st, Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU) reduced and even eliminated, several fees, including reducing their non-sufficient funds (NSF) and Courtesy Pay fees and eliminating the fee for overdraft transfers from savings. While fee reductions and eliminations are rarely seen in the financial industry, it is another way Wright-Patt Credit Union has helped their members rebuild financial strength through the uncertain times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we've been working hard to help our members and the people in the communities we serve by balancing the safety and health of our member-owners, partner-employees, and guests with our obligation to provide members access to their money," Doug Fecher, President and CEO of WPCU explained. “As a result, we created a package of temporary emergency relief programs at the onset of the pandemic, and put social distancing practices and additional safety measures into place. Now we have the unique opportunity to continue helping our members by eliminating and reducing several fees."

“Everything we do at WPCU is about making life a little easier for our members and helping them improve their Financial Flexibility and Freedom," said Tracy Szarzi-Fors, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for WPCU. “It's not too often that you hear about a bank or credit union lowering fees to help their members, so we're very excited to be able to do this."
